14th December, 2009 Npower has today, 14th December 2009, launched two new tariffs: Web 17 and Sign Online 17. As a result Npower are now cheapest energy supplier in 11 of the UK’s 14 distribution areas. nPower share the top spot with first: utility and OVO Energy..
Both new tariffs from Npower are available only to customers who can operate an online account and are happy to pay by monthly direct debit.
Web 17 is only available to new customers to Npower whereas `sign online 17 is available to both new and existing customers so long as whatever fuels are being transferred are all with nPower already.
Both tariffs do unfortunately come with early termination fees which mean that should the customer leave the tariffs before 31st March 2011 then they will pay a fee of £20 per fuel. This is a practice that more and more suppliers are adopting, more commonly on capped or fixed price deals however.
