21st August, 2009 E.ON has today, 21st August 2009, launched FixOnline 3 – this is a fixed term contract until the 1st December 2010.
British Gas has only just launched its WebSaver 4 discount Tariff, as a Gas and Electricity price war breaks out between Energy Providers, however the E.ON FixOnline 3 - tariff will now provide competitive prices in 11 out of 14 regions for consumers with an average consumption.
Consumers should be aware that both the new Eon FixOnline 3 - tariff and the British Gas Websaver 4 Tariff carry early exit penalties. In contrast, the EDF Online v5 tariff is both very competitive and does not penalise consumers switching away from the plan. It is available in only 10 out of 14 regions though.
The key features and benefits are:
* Fixed term contract until 1st December 2010
* Available to dual fuel and single electricity customers (single electricity product is not available with other E.ON gas products)
* Customer must manage their account online to receive their full discount
* Customer must pay by monthly Direct Debit
* Exit fees applicable if customer leaves before the end date of 1st December 2010 - £30 duel fuel, £10 single electricity
* IGT charges are applicable
* Tesco Club card points available
* No Mains Gas applicable
